The company was first found back in 1912 Tokyo – Japan , by Tokuji Hayakawa who first invented the Ever-SHARP mechanical pencil and gave the company its name SHARP.
In 1925 the company (sharp) designed the first generation of Japanese Radio sets.
And in 1953 Hayakawa electrics started producing the first Japan-made Tv sets (TV3-14T).

In 1964 the company developed the world’s first transistor calculator CS-10A
Through 1966 -1969 the company introduced their first IC & ILS calculators which were priced roughly about 1000 – 1,400$ at the time. Then upgraded to their pocketable calculator at less than 300$ which was very popular product.

Also at the same era the company introduced the first Microwave oven with a turntable table.
1970 the company was renamed to SHARP Corporation.
1973 the company produced the first LCD calculator.
1976 the company ventured into the high end stereo market, high end receivers, amplifiers, speakers, turntables and cassette players.

Shortly after in the 1980s the company had a working relationship with Nintedo a Japanese multinational video game company, where they started manufacturing the  C1 NES TV (the Nintedo Entertainment System) an 8-bit third generation home video game console, and later released in North America through the 80s as Nitedo Television.

In 1985 Haider Murad Investment group became the exclusive distributor for Sharp in Jordan. and we started with Televisions and Refrigerators and expanded from there with a bigger line-up and years of success.

1990s SF-1 SNES TV was released, a television set produced by Sharp with a built-in licensed super famicom, the unit retailed in 1990 as a next generation successor to the 1983 C1 television the SF1 was known for having superior picture quality.
In 2000 the company’s communication division created the world’s first camera phone in Japan the  J-SH04.

Since then the company has invested in LCD plant plan manufacturing heavily, moreover in  2009. The Sakai plant is still the only 10th generation LCD manufacturing plant on the globe and its best fit for production of 60-inch or larger panels.

In 2005 Sharp produced the largest LCD television at the time.
In 2013, Sharp Corporation had the tenth-largest, by market share, television manufacture in the world.
In 2016 Foxccon announced its intent to acquire a 66% controlling stake in Sharp.
In 2020 due to covid-19 Sharp announced it would use a TV factory with high-end clean rooms to manufacture surgical masks.

And for 110 yeas the company has stood grounds and managed to thrive through out the years with high-end technologies and the forerunner in many aspects.
The company celebrated their 110 years in market in September 2020.

Origin The company’s origin is in Japan and serves areas world wide.
As in 2020 Sharp’s revenue was 16,424,876 billion and 151,751,552 million in net income.
In 2021 the company announced The market size in Europe stood at USD 195.1 million
