An Italian company found by Eden Fumagalli and established back in 1945 and manufactured and designed the first all Italian washing machine Model 50.

In 1950 Candy was the first company to go abroad and manufacturing the first semi-automatic washing machine which was a great achievement at the time.

In 1955 Candy opened its first foreign subsidiary in France then Germany

In 1960s the Automatic washing machine was launched, the first fully automatic one, It had dampers, a thermostat, 550 rpm spin speed, and 10 programs, fully designed and manufactured in Italy. And in 1966 a full automatic dishwasher with two compartments was launched, called Sipomatic

Refrigeration production began in 1970s, since then Candy started Collaborating with famous designers to design award-winning appliances, and won the Golden Compass Award. And later in the 70s Candy developed more efficient appliances helping reduce waste of energy and water to participate in helping reduce environmental issues.

In 1975 Haider Murad Investment group became the exclusive distributer of Candy products in Joradn.

In 1981 Candy produced T3 the first freezer with three temperature zones and the first fridge freezer with no frost technology.

In 1985 Candy continued to expand by acquiring major Italian brands, and the innovations followed.

Producing the Combichef the traditional oven with both traditional and microwave functions. And the space-saving solutions like the Slimmy and Holidays washing machines.

In 1995 Candy acquired Hoover the European leader in floor cleaning products.

And by 2002 Candy was exported to 11 countries with slogan still in use today “Candy Can Do”.

And in 2004 Candy broke a year record with launching Candy futura a dishwasher the fits up to 15 place settings.

In 2006 Candy launched the GarndO’ a washing machine with the largest porthole in the market. And acquired large Russian brand, a laundry appliance leader brand in China and a Turkish brand in Turkey.

In 2009 Candy introduced hobs and multifunction electric oven.

In 2010 came the EasyCase a revolution for the tumble dryer market.

In 2011 The GrandO’ Evo a washing machine  with mix power technology, the unique prodige a large capacity oven that can be split in to two independent parts with large capacity, hobs with modular cooking zones and top loading washing machine with the gentle touch opening technology. With many innovations to follow.

At the end of 2013, the structure of the Group was organized into three Business Sectors:

-Washing appliances

– kitchen appliances

-Small domestic appliances

 with full responsibility on relevant product lines. As the organization is also found in many areas around the globe, Europe, Russia and the rest of the world. With strategic facilities in China and Turkey.

In 2014/2015 the most remarkable innovation was introduce the Simply-Fi range a WIFI connected appliances.

In 2016/2017 was the breaking of two new hero products:

Wash & Touch the only connected oven with full touch control that was awarded with the Red Dot Award.

Bianca the first washing machine that can wash any fabric in less than one hour.

In 2018 Candy launched the smart refrigerator that can manage and organize food the right way thanks to the Simply-Fi app that can check for expiry dates.

2019/2020 Candy still managed to introduce new innovations such as RapidO a washing machine with 9 programs with unique Snap & Wash function where you take a photo of your laundry and the app chooses best program to use and breaks rules with Nova the one button washing machine managed by an app.

Candy’s Market Value is estimated at 217.5 billion$ in 2020 and estimated to grow still.
